Personnel from the Cadiz Province Fire Consortium, dispatched from the Jerez station, responded last Thursday night to extinguish a fire in a residence located in Plaza Antonio Valenci, in the Santiago area. The incident, which occurred on the third floor, resulted in no personal injuries.
The alert was received around 9:00 PM, and the operation lasted until 10:30 PM. According to sources from the Consortium, the fire originated in a wardrobe in one of the rooms, which was almost entirely burned. Although the flames were concentrated there, the dense smoke spread throughout the rest of the house.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and then carried out forced ventilation to clear the accumulated smoke from the property and secure the affected area.
A total of nine personnel and three specialized vehicles were deployed for this intervention: a heavy rural pumper (R-32), a heavy urban pumper (U-40), and an aerial ladder truck (E-19), which was necessary for access and safety during high-rise operations, given the apartment's location on the third floor.
