The announcement, published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) on April 17, sets a 20-working-day period for submitting applications. These grants, managed by the Ecological Transition Area, will be awarded under a competitive bidding process.
The primary objective of this initiative is to foster programs that contribute to reducing environmental impact, conserving natural resources, promoting sustainable development, combating climate change, and enhancing the value of the rural environment in Cádiz.
“"With this call for aid for environmental activities in the province, the Provincial Council seeks to support initiatives promoted by the associative fabric that contribute to environmental sustainability and rural development in the municipalities of Cádiz."
The call is structured into two main lines. The first, with an allocation of 120,000 euros, focuses on environmental intervention projects that include information, training, dissemination, and public awareness. Within this, sub-sections cover environmental education and awareness (60,000 euros), technical training (20,000 euros), environmental projects (20,000 euros), and animal welfare (20,000 euros).
The second line, endowed with 30,000 euros, is dedicated to promoting and disseminating the rural environment and its products. This includes initiatives related to organic and sustainable livestock and agriculture, the recovery of native and traditional horticultural species, and the improvement of native livestock breeds in the province.
The maximum grant amount per project and entity is 4,000 euros, and each applicant can submit only one proposal. The aid can cover up to 100% of the activity's cost and is compatible with other grants, provided they do not exceed the total project cost. However, they are incompatible with other aid from the Cádiz Provincial Council for the same purpose.
