Following its successful premiere, the scenic proposal ‘Universo Cádi’ by Selu García Cossío, known artistically as El Selu, will offer another opportunity to enjoy it at the Teatro Pemán in Cádiz. The additional performance is scheduled for August 28 at 10:00 PM, joining the previously announced one for August 21, which is part of the ‘From Cádiz for Cádiz’ cycle.
This show represents an evolution in the career of El Selu, a prominent figure in the history of the Carnival of Cádiz. With decades of experience shaping chirigotas and creating memorable characters, his work is characterized by intelligent humor, social criticism, and a keen observation of daily life, transcending the carnival sphere to become a cultural benchmark.
‘Universo Cádi’ brings together on stage some of the most iconic characters created by Selu over more than thirty years. Reinterpreted within a new narrative, the show combines humor and emotion, reflecting current events and the distinctive signature of the Cádiz-born author, demonstrating the relevance of his creative universe and his characters' connection with the audience.
Tickets for this new performance will be available for purchase starting August 10 through the Bacantix platform, with a single price of 20 euros.
