The 2025/2026 season has concluded for Cádiz CF, and with it, the mandatory rest period for the footballers. While the squad enjoys their holidays with their families, the sporting management is already working in the offices to lay the groundwork for the upcoming campaign. The goal is to return with clear ideas and a renewed team.
The responsibility for planning the new squad falls to Juan Cala, a trusted figure for the presidency, and Mario Fuentes. Both must pave the way for president Vizcaíno, who seeks to regain the credibility lost after recent sporting failures. The squad for the 26/27 season is expected to be ready for the return to work.
Regarding new signings, the arrival of striker Vladys from Alcorcón has already been advanced. He is joined by central defender Kenan Toibibou (from NK Bravo), left-back Beñat de Jesús (from Barakaldo), and left winger Endika Buján (from Bilbao Athletic). These signings will be made official in the coming weeks.
On the other hand, the club is reducing its wage bill with the departures of Álex Fernández, Brian Ocampo, and Roger Martí, whose contracts have ended. Loan players such as Camara, Pelayo, and Antoñito also conclude their loan spells. Academy players like Pereira are also among those leaving.
In addition to the confirmed signings, several players are expected to be presented at the El Rosal facilities on Monday, July 6th. These include David Gil, Jorge Moren, Diakité, Iker Recio, Suso, Tabatadze, Víctor Aznar, Kovacevic, Ortuño, Diarra, De la Rosa, Iza, Climent, Ontiveros, García Pascual, Joaquín, Dómina, Juan Díaz, and Arribas. Specifically, one of the planned friendly matches will be against the recently promoted CD Tenerife, as part of the transfer clause for a midfielder.
