The local assembly of Cruz Roja in Jerez and Hacedores Cádiz will join forces this Wednesday, June 17th, to offer a dinner in the organization's courtyard. The event aims to bring together about a hundred people in situations of extreme vulnerability, promoting a space for encounter, coexistence, and dignity.
Renowned chef Javier Muñoz, head of La Carboná and a member of Hacedores Cádiz, will be in charge of preparing a special menu. This will include scorpionfish pâté with toast, gazpacho with its broth, baked chicken with garnish, and for dessert, pudding with red berries, courtesy of the Cocina Solidaria project from the Rota City Council. The initiative is supported by Jupe Jerez, GarsilPesca, and IKEA Jerez as suppliers.
Both organizations emphasize the importance of these social actions, which provide people experiencing homelessness the opportunity to share "table, conversation, and experiences" in a welcoming and humane environment, thereby strengthening community bonds.
Recently, Hacedores Cádiz recognized the work of the shower and laundry service provided by the local assembly of Cruz Roja in Jerez, aimed at vulnerable individuals. This initiative has also been acknowledged by Titania Ensayos y Proyectos Industriales within its Social Commitment program.
