The Cádiz Provincial Fire Consortium (CBPC) reported a vehicle fire that took place on Argentina Avenue in Cádiz on the night of Tuesday, April 9. Despite the car being completely consumed by flames, no injuries were reported.
The alert was received at approximately 11:00 PM, mobilizing a unit from the Cádiz station. Upon arrival, firefighters found the car engulfed in flames and immediately began extinguishing efforts.
To control the blaze, firefighters used about 1,000 liters of water and foam, the latter being necessary due to a fuel spill caused by the fire itself. The priority was to contain the flames and prevent their spread to other vehicles or nearby elements.
Four firefighters and a pumper truck participated in the operation. The swift intervention was crucial in extinguishing the fire and restoring normalcy to the area, a main thoroughfare in the capital of Cádiz with constant traffic and pedestrian flow.
As of now, the causes of the fire have not been determined. The CBPC emphasizes the importance of promptly notifying emergency services at any sign of a vehicle fire, especially in public areas, to minimize risks and prevent greater damage.
