The Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) published the list of electoral proposals on Wednesday, April 15. Among the new entries are 100x100 Unidos, led by Laura Román; Se Acabó la Fiesta (SALF), with Francisco Anselmo Mesa González as the top candidate; and the Partido Andalusí, headed by Dris Mohamed Amar.
In contrast, parties such as Ciudadanos, Recortes Cero, the Partido Comunista de los Trabajadores de España, and the Coalición Republicana Socialista have not submitted candidacies this time. The Andalusian coalition, which in 2022 was called Andaluces Levantaos, now runs as Andalucistas-Pueblo Andaluz, with Alfredo Fernández at the helm.
Only three of the 16 top candidates are repeating their positions: Manuel Gavira (Vox), Marcelino Laínez (Pacma), and Francisco José Ferrer Gálvez (Partido Comunista del Pueblo Andaluz). Meanwhile, Antonio Sanz, from the Partido Popular (PP), returns as the number one candidate fourteen years later, having held this position in the 2008 and 2012 elections.
Following this initial registration, a period opens for the Electoral Board to validate the candidacies and make necessary corrections. The definitive lists will be published again in the BOP on Tuesday, April 21. The province of Cádiz will elect 15 Andalusian parliamentarians in these elections.
