After a few days of mild and stable temperatures, intense heat will return to Cádiz starting Friday. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has predicted a heatwave that will be particularly noticeable over the weekend, with readings resembling those of June or July.
The beginning of the week will be calm, with maximums between 23 and 24 degrees Celsius this Monday and Tuesday, partly cloudy skies, and the presence of easterly winds. Atmospheric stability will persist until Thursday, with minimums between 15 and 17 degrees Celsius and maximums between 21 and 24 degrees Celsius, and a virtually non-existent chance of rain.
However, Friday will mark a significant change. Although an increase in instability is expected, with a 70% chance of precipitation and possible intense showers with thunderstorms, the real highlight will be the thermal rise. Temperatures will climb considerably, offering a sensation more typical of the central summer months.
Saturday and Sunday will consolidate this change, with clearer skies and an even more evident thermal ascent. Maximums will be around 25 degrees Celsius or even higher, bringing back a nearly summer-like atmosphere in mid-April. The easterly wind will return strongly, reinforcing the feeling of heat and the characteristic dry environment of the province.
“"April is looking towards summer ahead of time again, as already happened in 2023."
