The works will concentrate on the operational area of La Cabezuela-Puerto Real, as well as the fishing areas of Cádiz and El Puerto de Santa María, including fish markets and wholesale markets.
The project aims to renovate infrastructure showing wear from continuous use and the passage of time, improving both functionality and safety conditions within the port areas.
Planned interventions include pavement repair and renewal, enhancement of drainage systems, reinforcement of areas for machinery and vehicle traffic, and updating of road signage both inside and outside the facilities.
Furthermore, spaces within the fish markets and wholesale markets will be reorganized to optimize daily operations, more efficiently delineating circulation and work areas.
The works also involve addressing various detected deficiencies in the infrastructure of the South and West docks of La Cabezuela-Puerto Real.
Through this investment, the APBC seeks to increase the safety of workers and users, expedite mobility within the port precinct, and promote more efficient management of logistical and fishing activities. The estimated execution period for the works is four and a half months.
