The Cádiz City Council, in collaboration with the Santa María la Real Foundation, has presented the fifth edition of the employability activity hub, which will involve 80 unemployed residents of the city. The registration period for this initiative, which follows the philosophy of the Solidarity Employment and Entrepreneurship Launchers program, will remain open until August 17. Interested individuals can register through the official website.
The Councilor for Economic Development and Employment Promotion, Beatriz Gandullo, highlighted the success of the previous four editions held in Cádiz, which saw 332 participants, with 132 of them improving their employment situation. For her part, the coordinator of the foundation's Employability area, Nuria Campón, explained that participants will learn techniques to reactivate their job search, update their digital skills, and receive support from mental health professionals to manage unemployment-related stress.
These programs are designed for unemployed individuals over 18 years old and are conducted in a semi-presential format, combining in-person and online sessions over five and a half months. The main activities are divided into Activa, for updating the general job search; Despega, focused on individuals in situations of particular vulnerability; and Nómada, an itinerant edition adaptable to different formats. In-person sessions in Cádiz will take place at the IFEF Training Center in the Bóvedas de Santa Elena and at the Ma'arifa Building.
Additionally, the program offers downloadable "Employability Kits" with practical advice available on the initiative's website for those who wish to prepare before the launchers begin.
