The local government board of the Cadiz City Council has unveiled upcoming actions in sports facilities. These works, totaling over 70,000 euros, will focus on the Old Town pavilion and the Astilleros swimming pool, as reported by a municipal spokesperson.
At the Old Town pavilion, the waterproofing works for the skylights will be awarded. With a budget of 17,403 euros and a one-month execution period, the main objective is to eliminate water leaks affecting this sports equipment. The company awarded these works is Oriconst Edificaciones y Construcciones.
Furthermore, the Astilleros swimming pool will also undergo a significant intervention, with the replacement of its air conditioning system. This award amounts to 57,629 euros, and an execution period of two months is estimated. The company responsible for this improvement will be Articlima Energía.
“"The government team has invested over two million euros in sports facilities that showed a notable lack of maintenance."
In addition to sports investments, the allocation of two social grants has been reported. One, for 55,000 euros, will go to the Adacca Association to cover the rental costs of its headquarters in the Poniente de la Zona Franca business park, and another for 25,000 euros will benefit the Virgen de Valvanuz soup kitchen. Moreover, this week, social aid for Cadiz families totaling 211,462 euros has been approved.
