Organized by IU Cádiz and the Cádiz Saharauia association, the gathering will take place at Plaza Libertad, located behind the Central Market. The event's program features the participation of various local romanceros who will perform throughout the evening.
The initiative has a dual purpose: to raise awareness about the situation of the Sahrawi people and to highlight Spain's role as the administering power of the territory. Additionally, it aims to raise funds for the Vacaciones en Paz program, which facilitates the temporary hosting of children from the Tindouf refugee camps during the summer months.
The organizers have confirmed the participation of several groups, including the romanceros La que limpia a diario pa un inglés..., Una experta cirujana, Estación de penitencia cria cuervos, La madre que lo parió, Er romanpeo, ¡Quillo, que dejes ya de inventar!, Los santos de la frontera, El tio iose, and the chirigota Entre quejâ.
