A shopping center in the Province of Cádiz is hosting an exhibition of the G24EVO monoposto from April 23, a result of university students' work, bringing engineering closer to the general public.
The El Paseo shopping center has reinforced its commitment to innovation and young talent by becoming the venue for the ‘Formula Gades at El Paseo’ initiative. This event will transform its facilities into a meeting point for motor and engineering enthusiasts, offering a unique opportunity to get up close with the G24EVO monoposto.
From Thursday, April 23, to Saturday, April 25, visitors will be able to explore the competition vehicle and learn about the meticulous work of the Formula Gades team, comprised of students from the University of Cádiz. The exhibition will not only showcase the monoposto but will also include an informative space detailing the complete process of creating a racing car, from its conception and design to its manufacturing and piloting.
The team will explain their participation in Formula Student, one of the most demanding international university competitions. In this event, students from around the world test the speed, acceleration, dynamics, and reliability of their monopostos. Formula Gades is an example of multidisciplinary effort, where students from various areas of the University of Cádiz collaborate on a real engineering project, defending not only the technical performance of the vehicle but also its economic viability and business plan before a panel of expert judges.
Thanks to this approach, the team achieved their best historical results last season, accumulating 15 podiums, their first victory, and a notable third place nationally. Furthermore, they have positioned themselves in 54th place in the world ranking among more than 500 teams, demonstrating the high level of engineering from Cádiz. This initiative offers the public an experience that merges technology, education, and emotion, highlighting the emerging talent of the province and its international projection.
