The intervention, which commenced following the XXV Annual Meeting of the International Society of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity, focuses on replacing and securing over 31,000 ceramic tiles. These works aim to address structural deterioration that had previously caused debris to fall, posing risks to the public.

The renovation project has been supported by significant investment, funded through European Union Next Generation grants and municipal contributions. The specific budget allocated for the roof exceeds 480,000 euros, enabling the installation of modern waterproofing and thermal insulation systems.

Over the past twelve months, the building has undergone a major transformation. Key improvements include the modernization of the auditorium's climate control system, the transition to LED lighting, repairs to the skylight, and the installation of audiovisual equipment and solar photovoltaic panels for self-consumption.

The venue is a cornerstone of the city's economic and cultural activity, having hosted over 3,000 events since its opening. With an estimated annual footfall of 55,000 people, local authorities have deemed these upgrades essential to ensure the safety and energy efficiency of the facilities.
