The yellow-and-blue team finds itself in a critical situation, accumulating a dismal record in the second half of the 2025-26 season. With only one victory against Mirandés and a draw against Burgos, coupled with twelve defeats, the team has managed just four points out of a possible 42, positioning them as the worst in the category during this period.
Despite this poor performance, Cádiz CF still controls its own destiny to avoid relegation, maintaining a four-point margin over the danger zone. However, the urgency to secure victories is palpable to reverse this dynamic.
The most alarming situation is at their home ground, where the team has suffered seven consecutive defeats, an unprecedented streak in its history. Following the recent 0-1 loss to Andorra, the club has reached ten home defeats this season, more than half of the matches played at the stadium, currently known as JP Financial (formerly Nuevo Mirandilla and Ramón de Carranza).
This record equals their worst in the silver category, dating back to the 1993-94 season. On that occasion, the team also suffered ten home defeats and, by the end of the campaign, was relegated to what was then known as Segunda B (now Primera Federación). With three home matches still to play (against Las Palmas, Deportivo de La Coruña, and Leganés), the current dynamic at the Cádiz stadium serves as a serious warning about the future of the team led by Sergio González.
