Organized jointly by the San Fernando City Council and Autismo Cádiz, these conferences will take place at the local convention center. The main objective is to foster a more committed and accessible society for people with autism spectrum disorder.
The event program will bring together professionals, entities, and citizens to address various perspectives of autism. Among the prominent presentations is one titled 'Less judgment, more support,' which will be delivered by the technical director of the Autism Spain Confederation.
Additionally, a second presentation on 'Autism and inclusive justice: challenges for a support-based judicial response' is planned, pending confirmation from the prosecutor of the Coordinating Chamber for People with Disabilities and the Elderly. The day will also include the reading of a manifesto and a round table where testimonies from people with autism, family members, support professionals, and committed companies will be shared.
In parallel with these conferences, the San Fernando City Council and Autismo Cádiz are advancing in the transfer of premises for the creation of a specialized autism resource center. This center, managed by the entity, will seek to strengthen care, inclusion, and quality of life for people with autism and their families in the municipality.
It is worth noting that the Council has increased its investment in associations and social entities in the city by almost 20% for the year 2026, rising from 160,000 to 190,000 euros. This measure underscores the local government's strong commitment to the third sector and to the development of essential initiatives to improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable groups.
