After an undefeated season in their debut in Tercera Andaluza, San Fernando prepares for its second campaign with the goal of promotion to Segunda Andaluza. The team, which has retained most of the players who achieved significant victories last season, only drew one match.
The first pre-season contact will be on Monday, July 27, at 7:40 PM at the Iberoamericano de Bahía Sur. The club has held its first assembly and presented its youth academy structure, with Monchi, sporting director for Espanyol de Barcelona, balancing commitments with both teams and his presidency at San Fernando.
The squad has been largely renewed, with the addition of defender David León (from Conil), midfielder Lacida (from Lebrijana), and goalkeeper Lucas Ballesteros (from Ciudad de Cádiz). The new kits have also been unveiled and are well-received by fans.
The club has also announced a collaboration agreement with Escuela Bahía to strengthen its youth system. Furthermore, renovation work on the new stadium is expected to commence in August.
The squad for the upcoming season will include goalkeepers Rafa and Lucas Ballesteros; defenders Nano Cavilla, Dani Freire, Mario López, Kiko Ramos, David Montero, Nacho López, and David León; midfielders Dieguito, Pablo del Castillo, Trabazo, Pablo Jiménez, Legupín, and Carlos Muñoz; and forwards Alberto Chust, Pedro Carrión, Dani Herrera, Jesús Alfred, and Lacida.
San Fernando will play five pre-season matches: on August 14 against Trebujena, on August 18 versus Barbate CF, on August 21 against Chiclana Industrial, on August 28 against CD Rota, and on September 2 against Rayo Sanluqueño. All games will be played away.
