The San Fernando Fair is preparing to experience a potential World Cup football final, with eyes set on the match against Argentina. The fairgrounds at Parque Almirante Laulhé will feature a giant screen for the match broadcast.
To accommodate the largest possible audience, 800 extra chairs will be installed in front of the auditorium stage. These will be added to the existing 1,500 seats in the stands, bringing the total seated capacity to 2,300 people. It is estimated that this number could reach 3,000 if those watching the match standing in the auditorium's surroundings are included.
Furthermore, many of the fair's stalls will also offer televisions so that no detail of the game is missed. The City Council hopes that, should Spain's dream of victory come true, this Fair will go down in the history of San Fernando as the edition in which the national team became world champions for the second time.
