The largest portion of the funds, 200,000 euros, will be allocated to the grassroots sports subsidy line, while the remaining 50,000 euros will go to competitive sports. These grants are awarded on a competitive basis.
The budget for grassroots sports is divided into two categories: 160,000 euros for youth football and 40,000 euros for other sports disciplines. Competitive sports refer to clubs and sports societies participating in official non-professional federated competitions of absolute category with a league format at a national or top regional level.
The activities and competitions eligible for subsidies must correspond to the 2025-2026 season, covering the period between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026. The announcement was published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP).
Applications can be submitted electronically through the electronic headquarters of the San Fernando City Council. According to data from the previous year, approximately 2,400 local athletes and 29 sports entities benefited from these grants.
