The local holidays for San Fernando in 2027 have already been approved by the Local Government Board. As usual, there will be no surprises in the choice of these days, which have remained unchanged for 25 years since the holiday for Día del Cerro was eliminated.
The unique aspect for next year is that both holidays, Friday, July 16, and Friday, September 24, will fall on a Friday. This circumstance will allow the residents to enjoy a long weekend in the work calendar.
The proposal, originating from the General Delegation of the Area of Citizen Development, has received a favorable opinion from the Informative Commission of Public Administration, Citizen Development, and Social Development. The agreement will now be sent to the Regional Ministry of Employment, Enterprise, and Self-Employment of the Junta de Andalucía for authorization.
The procedure followed the publication in the Official Bulletin of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) of the decree establishing the labor holidays calendar for Andalusia in 2027, which gives municipalities two months to submit their proposals for local holidays.
The immovable local holidays in San Fernando are the Patron Saint's Day, the Day of Carmen, which coincides with the local fair, and the holiday of Las Cortes, commemorating the inaugural session of the Cortes in 1810.
