A crane situated at the La Cabezuela pier in Puerto Real was the scene of a fire that broke out this Friday. Following an alert received by the 112 emergency service, provincial firefighters were dispatched to the location around 3:00 PM to extinguish the blaze.
The exact causes of the fire are currently unknown. Fortunately, no personal injuries have been reported as a result of this incident.
This event follows another fire that occurred in the early hours of Thursday to Friday in a residential building on Avenida del Perú in Cádiz. In that incident, two individuals were affected by smoke inhalation: a 58-year-old woman, who required hospital transfer, and a 19-year-old woman, who received treatment at the scene. Neither was reported to be in serious condition.
Interestingly, the city of Cádiz woke up with a noticeable smell of burning, which could be linked to a large fire that originated on Thursday in Alosno, in the province of Huelva. Fire department sources have stated that this odor is not connected to any active fires within the capital of Cádiz.
