The city is consolidating itself as a dynamic hub within the Bay of Cadiz, attracting people from various backgrounds. Of the total 2,198 new registrations, the majority come from the province of Cádiz itself (967), followed by 814 from other Spanish provinces and 417 from other countries. This positive balance is achieved after subtracting the 1,296 residents who have left the town.
The new residents come from 31 municipalities in Cadiz, 46 Spanish provinces, and 51 countries, including former residents from places as diverse as Samoa, Finland, or Bolivia.
Within the province of Cádiz, 340 residents who moved from San Fernando and 230 from the capital city of Cádiz stand out. They are followed by Jerez (73), Conil (65), and Puerto Real (57), among other municipalities on the coast and inland.
The Community of Madrid is the province that has contributed the most inhabitants to Chiclana, followed by Seville and Málaga, with over 350 residents who have chosen the Cadiz coast to settle. New residents have also arrived from the Balearic Islands, Barcelona, Córdoba, Huelva, A Coruña, Las Palmas, Murcia, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Ceuta, Granada, Toledo, and Jaén.
The diversity of origins extends throughout the Spanish geography, with arrivals from Badajoz, Tarragona, Vizcaya, Alicante, Almería, and Zaragoza, among others. Several provinces contribute a significant number of new residents, such as Salamanca (six), Valencia (five), Girona and Gipuzkoa (five), and Huesca (five).
