The Municipal Delegate for Sustainable Tourism, Manuela Pérez, announced that the Night of Candles will return to Chiclana on July 30. The area around the Cerro del Castillo will be the main stage for this fourth edition, where the streets of the historic center will be adorned with over 7,000 candles.
The planned route will start at Calle Rosa, near the Phoenician interpretation center Nueva Gadeira, and conclude at the Plaza de España. Attendees will be able to enjoy a walk through the historic center, specially illuminated, and enlivened by musical performances at various points downtown.
Manuela Pérez highlighted the anticipation this event generates among citizens, emphasizing the importance of "promoting our history of over 3,000 years with these types of events." This year, the number of candles increases to 7,000, which will decorate the space between the Arquillo del Reloj and the Plaza de España.
In addition to the candlelit streets, the evening will feature performances by five musical groups. The delegate encouraged attendance, noting that the event not only highlights the historic area but also aims to boost local commerce and hospitality.
