The municipal delegate for Festivities, Fede Díaz, along with representatives from the Brotherhood of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, Manuel Moreno and Dolores Romero, have unveiled the details of the celebration. This year's poster features an image of the Virgen de los Remedios in earth tones.
Fede Díaz highlighted the importance of these festivities for the city and the joint work with the Brotherhood. New features will be implemented, such as changes to the Grape Harvest Festival and special stage decoration, including extraordinary lighting created by the company Ximénez.
Manuel Moreno thanked the City Council and the Peña de Costaleros Nazarena for their collaboration in organizing the events.
The schedule, which began last Friday with the exaltation and presentation of the poster, will continue with the Solemn Novena from August 30 to September 7 at the San Telmo church. On September 4, the tortilla contest and the Grape Harvest Festival will take place in the Plaza Mayor.
On September 5, the Virgen de los Remedios youth football tournament will be held at Novo Sancti Petri. On September 7, the day before the feast of the Virgen de los Remedios, a solemn mass will be celebrated at San Telmo Church, followed by the imposition of medals and the traditional grape stomping with a performance by singer Yoana Jiménez.
On September 8, the Patron Saint's day, the celebration will begin with the Rosario de la Aurora and the Holy Mass at San Telmo Church. The Solemn High Mass will be at 11:00 AM with the Agrupación Coral Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, followed by a floral offering. The day will conclude with the patron saint's procession at 8:30 PM.
