The municipal delegate for Festivities, Fede Díaz, along with representatives from the Santa Ana Commission and the Ermita de Santa Ana Neighborhood Association, presented the poster and program for the celebration. Díaz emphasized the importance of this event for the city and the collaborative effort to enhance it, noting the increasing participation from residents.
As a main novelty this year, Manuela Sánchez, representing the Neighborhood Association, announced the Crochet Chain Contest, encouraging enthusiasts to participate. She expressed gratitude for the City Council's support in promoting the festivity.
Pablo Pacheco, representing the parish of San Juan Bautista and the Santa Ana Commission, thanked the City Council for its cooperation and detailed the religious events planned.
The program will commence on July 22nd with a triduum in honor of the Virgin, running until July 24th at 8:30 PM in the hermitage. On July 23rd, the Crochet Chain Contest will take place, and on July 24th, at 7:00 PM in the Glorieta Hermano Eufrasio, the Foam Party and children's games will be held, followed by the Santa Ana Futsal Championship and the second Grand Filetada, all organized by the Neighborhood Association.
On July 25th, at 9:30 PM, the Romera Gathering and the Ascent to Santa Ana will begin from Plaza Mayor to the Hermitage, passing through several central streets. At 10:30 PM, a floral offering will take place, accompanied by a rociero choir, followed by the Salutation Los Gozos de Santa Ana.
On July 26th, Santa Ana's day, at 9:30 AM, the rociero mass will be held on the hermitage's esplanade with the distribution of the ‘Campanas de Santa Ana’. In the afternoon, at 9:00 PM, these typical sweets will be distributed again in the neighborhood, accompanied by musical entertainment, the presentation of trophies for recently concluded competitions, and a petal offering to the Virgin.
The day will conclude with a procession starting at 8:30 PM from the hermitage, touring the city center streets, and will end with a fireworks display.
