The Plaza Mayor will host the puppet show ‘El soldadito de plomo’ tonight at 9:00 PM, performed by the company ‘Okarino Trapisonda’. The play narrates the well-known story of a simple toy soldier and his love for a ballerina, overcoming obstacles and misfortunes.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5th, the Teatro Moderno will be the stage for the show ‘Alma de Cabaret’, presented by the company La Butaca Roja. Artists Paz de Alarcón and Juanjo Macías will review their careers through musical numbers and humor, showcasing their passion for the genre.
Tickets for ‘Alma de Cabaret’ are priced at 10 euros at the box office and 8 euros for advance purchase, available at the theater's box office and at www.giglon.com.
On Friday, August 7th, the program moves to the music kiosk in Alameda del río. The ‘Maestro Enrique Montero’ Music Band, conducted by Manolo Forero, will offer the first of three concerts scheduled for August, featuring a repertoire including zarzuelas, pasodobles, classical and contemporary music, and film soundtracks.
The next dates for the Municipal Music Band are August 14th and 28th at the same location, following the success of their previous performance in the Plaza Mayor.
