Plaza Mayor will host the children's and family show ‘Rodeo’ on Tuesday the 14th at 8:00 PM, presented by the company ‘La banda del otro’. This multidisciplinary performance, part of the Andalusian Network of Public Theaters, revisits the imaginary world of North American Western folklore with humor, live music, and circus elements, aiming for surprise and audience participation.
On Wednesday the 15th, the Teatro Moderno will stage ‘La venganza de Don Mendo’ at 9:30 PM. Produced by El Perro Producciones and the Andalusian Network of Public Theaters, this classic comedy by the Puerto Real-born author Pedro Muñoz Seca blends verse theater and parody, incorporating archetypal characters, anachronisms, wordplay, and contemporary references.
The company emphasizes that the play has been adapted to be "fiercely contemporary," featuring modern staging and costumes, a current scenic rhythm, and touches of physical theater, aiming for the audience to "laugh as much as we have laughed preparing it."
Tickets for ‘La venganza de Don Mendo’ cost 10 euros (8 euros in advance) and can be purchased at the theater box office or via the platform www.giglon.com.
Finally, on Thursday the 16th, at 8:30 PM, the courtyard of the Museum of Chiclana will host a new session of the ‘Letra & Música’ cycle, organized by the Fernando Quiñones Foundation. The show ‘Ritmos conversos’ will feature musicians Miguel Rodríguez, Elena Jiménez, and David García, along with writer Carmen Moreno. Admission to this event is free until full capacity.
