The province of Cadiz is preparing to welcome thousands of motorcycling enthusiasts for the Motorada, an event that goes beyond sports and has become one of the main international attractions. The event, coinciding with the Spanish MotoGP Grand Prix at the Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit, will transform the region into a focal point for leisure, tourism, and economic activity.
For several days, the Bay of Cadiz, with particular emphasis on municipalities such as El Puerto de Santa María and Jerez de la Frontera, will become the epicenter of the biker atmosphere. Favorable weather conditions, a rich gastronomic offer, and a deeply rooted motorcycling culture contribute to making this area a favorite among attendees.
The concentration of visitors extends beyond the circuit, revitalizing streets, promenades, and leisure areas in various towns. Given this massive influx, public administrations have designed specific measures to manage mobility between municipalities and ensure safety in high-density public spaces.

In Jerez de la Frontera, a special program has been prepared from April 22 to 26, including motorcycle caravans, concerts, and exhibitions in the city center. Highlights include the Grand Motorcycle Caravan, which will tour the city's main thoroughfares, and the commemorative gala for the 40th anniversary of the Jerez Circuit at the Teatro Villamarta.
Meanwhile, the El Puerto de Santa María City Council has approved a package of extraordinary measures to enhance security and regulate mobility. These include reinforcing security personnel, coordinating with other police forces, and extending the closing hours for hospitality establishments during the main days of the event.
Mobility measures include traffic restrictions in the urban area, especially in high-traffic zones like Valdelagrana, and a ban on the circulation of vehicles such as quads and off-road motorcycles. Parking areas have also been set up, and goods loading and unloading will be restricted to specific time slots.
The plan incorporates a preventive approach, with the installation of speed bumps, although this measure has drawn complaints from residents due to its early implementation. Past experiences, such as illegal gatherings and reckless driving incidents, have led to reinforced controls with video surveillance and increased police presence.
