The Minister of Education, Milagros Tolón, visited IES Fernando III in Martos, Jaén, a center recognized for its excellence in Vocational Training and its innovation and industrial digitalization projects.
During her stay, the minister gained first-hand insight into the initiatives that have positioned the center as a national benchmark in Vocational Training. Projects in innovation, industrial digitalization, and advanced training that directly connect with the business sector were highlighted.
The ministerial delegation, which included various educational authorities and institutional representatives, toured the facilities. They visited specialized areas such as the Mechanical Manufacturing workshop, the plastic transformation and recycling learning factory, and the Collaborative Robotics and Automated Manufacturing classroom.
A key point of the visit was the presentation of a project for the development of breast prostheses using advanced manufacturing. This initiative combines anatomical personalization, a thermal sensor system, and sustainability to improve the quality of life for mastectomized women. The project, still in the study phase, aims to become a real solution in the healthcare field.
