The meeting included representatives from various administrations and services, including the Government Sub-delegation in Jaén, Local Police, National Police, Civil Guard, Civil Protection, Red Cross, Firefighters, the Health Center, and different municipal departments such as Services, Urban Planning, Municipal Information Center for Women, Culture, Youth, and Festivals.
Mayor Emilio Torres highlighted that the device is "well-established" and is adjusted annually based on previous experience. The main objective is to ensure safe festivities for both residents and the numerous visitors who come to Martos during these dates.
Torres described last year's fair as "one of the safest fairs in the history of this City Council" and emphasized the joint work of the administrations in maintaining high security levels.
A significant reinforcement is planned for the Local Police, with an increase in personnel and service hours to cover the Pre-Fair and the Fair. For its part, the Government Sub-delegation will reinforce the Civil Guard, especially for security in the rest of the municipal area and to provide support during fairground evacuations.
During the meeting, security measures for the various events and spaces were reviewed, including parades, pyrotechnic shows, and stalls, as well as protocols for action in case of incidents. The Local Security Board also approved regulations on schedules, limitations, and prohibitions.
The mayor expressed his satisfaction, assuring that the City Council is deploying "all available means to prevent problems and, if they occur, to intervene as quickly as possible."
Emilio Torres thanked all participants for their work and encouraged citizens and visitors to enjoy the program, which includes nearly 50 activities, stating, "We want everyone to enjoy the fair, to take advantage of these days to go out with family and friends, and, obviously, for there to be no problems or incidents."
