The Councilor for Mobility, Juan Carlos Canalejo, presented the municipal initiatives designed to raise awareness about the importance of greener urban mobility. The activities will take place over the coming days.
The program kicks off on Sunday, September 20th, with an urban ride open to the public. The departure is scheduled for 10:00 AM from El Lagartijo Park. Participants are encouraged to come with bicycles, scooters, or any other sustainable mobility vehicle to tour the city, concluding at the Municipal Auditorium.
On September 21st and 22nd, El Lagartijo Park will host a road safety education activity for students from Virgen de la Villa and Hermanos Carvajales schools. Over a hundred children will receive training from Local Police officers to promote safe and responsible travel behaviors.
On September 22nd, coinciding with World Car-Free Day, the urban bus service will be free for the entire day. This measure aims to encourage the use of public transport as a sustainable daily alternative.
Under the slogan "Mobility for All People," the initiative seeks to ensure access to sustainable transport options for everyone, regardless of income, place of residence, age, gender, or ability.
