Fractured train track in an Andalusian landscape, symbolizing the Adamuz accident.
The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has voiced his concern regarding ADIF's slow response in taking responsibility for the Adamuz railway accident, pointing to failures in track maintenance.
In an interview, Juanma Moreno, president of the Junta de Andalucía, expressed his surprise and concern over the revelations in the Civil Guard report on the Adamuz accident. The report indicates that the track had a fracture 22 hours before the incident, which, according to Moreno, points to a failure in infrastructure maintenance and safety systems.

"ADIF is taking too long to assume responsibility. There has been a lack of maintenance on the railway line and in the safety equipment."
The Andalusian president also criticized ADIF's removal of material, in defiance of judicial decisions, and lamented that, almost three months after the accident, no one has taken responsibility. This situation causes him concern not only for the affected line but for the general state of railway infrastructure in Andalucía.
Regarding victim assistance, Moreno defended the Junta's actions, assuring that, although the 061 system temporarily collapsed, assistance was maintained analogically and there was no dereliction of duty. He explained that the initial priority was the Iryo train, the first one visible, and that services moved to the Alvia once its existence was confirmed.

"I sincerely believe that there is an attempt to divert attention from the main issue: why the accident occurred and who is responsible for the condition of the track. It's a game of lies and manipulation, very 'made in Ferraz'."
