The Sierra Nevada por Todo lo Alto festival concluded its sixteenth edition this Saturday in Pradollano, leaving a mark of punk and rock energy. Following an opening day on Friday dedicated to garage rock, psychedelia, and border rock with bands like Sex Museum and Los Coronas, Saturday night focused on the power of punk rock and mod aesthetics.
Approximately 3,000 attendees, many of them families, bid farewell to the event which combines mountain tourism with children's musical activities and a festive atmosphere. The festival's sonic offering ranged from the generational shift in the Granada scene to the veteran underground of the 80s.
Saturday night kicked off at 9:00 PM with the performance of the young local punk trio Blanca Adelfa, who brought freshness and boldness to Granada's independent scene. Subsequently, the Gil brothers of Brighton 64 delivered an emotional concert as part of their definitive farewell tour, revisiting anthems like 'Bola y cadena' and 'La casa de la bomba', and connecting with several generations of the audience.
The festival's closing act was the Galician duo Bala, whose transgressive, dense, and powerful punk sound, performed with just drums, vocals, and guitar, left the audience exhausted and cheering well into the early morning.
The Sierra Nevada Por Todo Lo Alto festival thus reaffirms its message that rock knows no age and that the mountains' heights are an ideal stage for music.
