Agents from the Calahonda Fiscal and Border Patrol (PAFIF) conducted the inspection at a physical store linked to an international e-commerce platform. During the review, various items offered for sale were examined, including food products, beverages, accessories, small appliances, and toys.
Numerous toys, card games, keychains, and plush toys replicating well-known brands were found. Civil Guards detected labeling irregularities and deficiencies in product quality and finish, raising suspicions of counterfeiting and non-compliance with safety standards.
The operation resulted in the seizure of a total of 606 products, with an estimated commercial value of 10,972.99 euros. The investigation was extended due to changes in the administration of the commercial company responsible for the establishment, until the administrator was fully identified.
The Civil Guard reminds the public that the sale of counterfeit products harms legitimate brand owners, constitutes unfair competition for legal businesses, and can pose risks to consumer safety due to non-compliance with quality and safety controls.
