Firefighting efforts in the municipality of the Alpujarra region of Granada, which has a population of approximately 200 residents, have been bolstered by one medium-heavy helicopter and two ground-loading aircraft. These aerial assets join the work of 7 forest firefighters, an operations technician, and a fire engine already operating in the area.
Separately, Infoca reported the control of another forest fire that broke out in a natural area of Alfacar. This fire, caused by a lightning strike, was extinguished at 1:35 PM this Saturday.
