What initially began as an initiative to revitalize the municipality has transformed into one of the most prominent events on Alhabia's calendar. The occasion surpassed all expectations, bringing together a large number of people for both the I Hiking Trail and the I Clay Fair, successfully capturing the interest of both residents and visitors.
From the early hours of the morning, the activity commenced with the departure of the Trail Path from the Plaza de la Constitución. This approximately 10-kilometer route offered participants an experience that went beyond sports, allowing them to enjoy the landscape and connect with the natural environment of the Andarax valley. The route was designed to be accessible, yet also appealing to those seeking more than just a simple stroll.
Simultaneously, the Plaza de la Constitución became the epicenter of pottery tradition. The first edition of the Clay Fair transformed Alhabia into a vibrant showcase of its artisanal heritage, featuring interactive workshops, live demonstrations, and an exhibition of pieces that captivated the public's attention throughout the day.
Far from being a mere exhibition, the fair allowed visitors to observe the artisanal process up close and understand the cultural value of an activity deeply rooted in local identity.
The festive atmosphere was complemented by a varied gastronomic offering and live music performances, solidifying the day as a meeting point where leisure, culture, and tradition merged. This success reflects the initiative's ability to connect with the public and invigorate local life.
With this dual proposal, Alhabia has not only managed to bring together hundreds of people but also to position itself as a municipality capable of combining sport, tradition, and tourist promotion in a single event. This first edition has left a very positive impression and is set to become a prominent fixture in the coming years.
