The territorial delegate for Public Works, Territorial Planning and Housing in Almería, Dolores Martínez, along with the mayor of Alhama de Almería, Cristóbal Rodríguez, have overseen the works on the A-348. This intervention, 85% co-financed by FEDER Funds, focuses on improving road safety in the municipality.

The project spans from kilometer point 120+840 to 122+140 and includes the construction of a roundabout with a 40-meter outer diameter and two 10-meter wide lanes at kilometer 120.8 of the A-348. This infrastructure is crucial for reorganizing entry and exit movements from the right margin of the road, facilitating access to the adjacent school and connecting with a new service road.

In addition to the roundabout, the project includes a 1.3-kilometer service road that runs parallel to the A-348. This road, starting from the roundabout, extends along the right margin up to kilometer 122.1, where the access link to the municipality is located. The action aims to eliminate conflict points and reduce heavy traffic currently passing through the urban core of Alhama de Almería.
