The Provincial Council of Almería, through its Provincial Tourism Service, has collaborated in organizing this working trip. The initiative, driven by the Spanish Tourism Office (OET) in the Chinese capital, seeks to showcase the province's diverse attractions.
During their stay, the communicators were welcomed by representatives from the Provincial Council and the Almería City Council, who accompanied them on a visit to the capital's Central Market. This emblematic space allowed the journalists to experience firsthand the city's daily life and its local product offerings, highlighting Almería's rich gastronomy.
“"This action allows us to showcase various tourist resources of the province to international communication professionals, through a program that includes heritage, cultural, and gastronomic sites."
The itinerary designed for the Chinese team covers various enclaves of the province, demonstrating its territorial, heritage, and scenic diversity. Among the visited locations are the Alcazaba de Almería, the area around the Cable Inglés, the Tabernas Desert, the Pulpí Geode, and the Calar Alto Astronomical Observatory, as well as several municipalities in eastern Almería.
The program also incorporates visits to cultural and audiovisual spaces, along with gastronomic experiences, to generate audiovisual content for dissemination on Chinese digital platforms such as WeChat Channels and Sina Weibo. Two live broadcasts from Almería are scheduled to air on Turespaña's WeChat Channel in China before April 30, 2026.
