Vícar's Holy Week in 2026 has concluded with a very positive outcome, highlighting high citizen participation and excellent organization by brotherhoods and the City Council.

The images of San José and San Benito paraded through the streets of Vícar last Sunday, marking the end of a Holy Week full of emotion and tradition. Mayor Antonio Bonilla emphasized the crucial citizen participation and the efforts of local brotherhoods and confraternities.
Throughout the week, the different neighborhoods of the municipality experienced moments of contemplation and solemnity, culminating in the processions of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. This success is attributed to the "excellent planning, rehearsal, and coordination work" between the Vícar City Council and the brotherhoods of the Santísimo Cristo de la Paz and Nuestra Señora de los Dolores (La Gangosa), as well as the Santísimo Cristo de la Esperanza and the Virgen de la Pasión (Puebla de Vícar).

"The participation of citizens and the essential drive of our brotherhoods and confraternities has been key."

From the Citizen Security Area, the impeccable work of the Local Police and Civil Protection was highlighted, ensuring that the residents of Vícar could fully enjoy their celebrations.
