The incident occurred on April 25 in La Jonquera, where National Police agents detected two vehicles performing suspicious maneuvers near a checkpoint. A van and a car, occupied by three men residing in Almería and Murcia, attempted to evade authorities upon noticing their presence.
The pursuit lasted several minutes until officers managed to intercept both vehicles. During the search, a significant quantity of marijuana was discovered in the van. The drugs, totaling 73 kilos, were hidden among furniture and in a specially adapted false bottom in the cargo area, as well as in the rear doors and sides of the vehicle.

The three individuals were arrested and charged with drug trafficking offenses. According to the National Police, the detainees had extensive criminal records for drug trafficking, belonging to a criminal organization, and illegal possession of weapons.
