The initiative, presented by the area's councilor, along with representatives from the Vega de Almería Cultural Association and the project's facilitator, aims to bring the city's ethnographic, agricultural, and cultural legacy closer to the public. It seeks to engage both the general public and the educational sector through participatory, experiential, and playful activities that foster meaningful learning.
The program, which involves an Almerian company, will combine theatrical visits with practical workshops. These are designed to offer a deep immersion into the traditional life of the Vega de Acá. A total of six monthly sessions have been scheduled, each lasting approximately two hours, to be held on May 16, June 13, July 11, September 19, October 10, and November 14.
An innovative aspect of this proposal is the participation of historical figures linked to the environment, such as a master irrigation ditch worker or a traditional farmer. These characters will guide the visits, facilitating the understanding not only of the exhibited objects but also of the social and human context in which life developed in the Vega.
“"The project reinforces the commitment to culture, education, and the enhancement of local heritage, also highlighting its innovative nature by combining learning and entertainment."
Furthermore, it has been announced that the initiative will extend to educational centers through an adapted theatrical proposal, aiming to promote the municipal network of museums. The Vega de Almería Cultural Association has valued the proposal as an excellent opportunity to recover and preserve customs and traditions that are part of the local identity.
This program begins as a pilot experience, with the intention of consolidating in future editions if it receives a good reception from the public.
