To commemorate International Museum Day, LA VOZ proposes an interactive game to explore the heritage of Almería province, visiting eleven key locations and seeking a distinctive object at each stop.

To mark International Museum Day, celebrated this Monday, May 18th, a playful proposal has been designed to engage with Almería's heritage. The initiative involves a tour of various museum gems across the province, where the objective is to find a key piece at each location, turning the visit into a cultural game.
The quest begins in the capital. At the Almería Archaeological Museum, the challenge is to locate the model of the tomb of Los Millares, thus connecting the museum with the significant Copper Age prehistoric site, established in the area around 5,000 years ago.
At the Doña Pakyta Museum of Art, the clue focuses on the trajectory of a local artist, inviting reflection on how talent can transcend social barriers and how a biography can encapsulate an era. Subsequently, the route delves into the Antonio de Torres Guitar Museum, where the centerpiece is a large guitar symbolizing the venue's spirit and musical sensitivity.
The Museum of Contemporary Spanish Realism challenges visitors to find the artwork Gran Vía by Antonio López. Beyond admiring hyperrealism, the visit encourages appreciation of the building housing the museum: the former Provincial Hospital, a unique 16th-century civil structure. This stop promotes detailed observation of the artworks and the history of the building itself.
The Barrio Andalusí Archaeological Site offers an immersion into medieval life, allowing visitors to analyze the layout of houses and the concept of living in the city's oldest quarter. The route extends beyond the capital, including stops in other towns.
Other points of interest in the province include the Adra Museum, the Molinillo del Perrillo in Berja, the Dionisio Godoy Museum of Art, the Casa Ibáñez Museum, the Marqués de los Vélez Castle Museum, and the Ethnographic Museum of the Caves of Vera. In the latter, a small utensil representing a lost technology is highlighted, symbolizing the history contained within everyday inventions.
