The Almería Half Marathon 2026 has made history by becoming its most attended edition, with a total of 5,000 bibs sold. Despite the rain that accompanied the day, the sporting event not only exceeded participation expectations but also generated an estimated economic impact of over 2 million euros for the city. The festive atmosphere prevailed, demonstrating the enthusiasm of both runners and the public.
The competition was divided into two modalities: the 21-kilometer race, which started at 8:30 AM, and the 10-kilometer 'Saludable' (Healthy) race, which began at 9:00 AM. The route offered participants spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea, the Cable Inglés, and the Almería coast, although the rain added an extra challenge with slippery sections.
