The decision to cancel the processional route was made to protect the statue of the Virgin and its associated heritage, given the possibility of rainfall during the journey. While Holy Week enjoyed favorable weather, current meteorological conditions are not suitable for the commemorative events marking the 75th anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of the Virgin of the Sea.
Instead of the procession, the Holy Mass will take place at 10:00 AM at the Diocesan Sanctuary of the Patron Saint. Following the Eucharist, the temple will remain open throughout the morning, allowing the faithful to approach and venerate the Patron Saint of Almería on this significant day.
As part of the celebrations, at 12:00 PM, a concert will be offered by the Cruz Roja de Sevilla Music Band, providing a musical highlight to this special event, as communicated by the brotherhood itself.
