The political group has voiced its apprehension regarding recent reports on the state of railway infrastructure in the province, denouncing a "gradual deterioration occurring throughout Spain".
According to a party spokesperson, "all Spaniards, Andalusians, and Almerians are witnessing in recent months how railway infrastructures suffer constant worsening, with very serious consequences affecting citizens' daily lives".
“"Delays and non-compliance are becoming the norm in an area that should be a priority for any Government, such as the territorial structuring through dignified communications."
It has been emphasized that Almería "particularly suffers from this situation due to its geographical position, compounded by the systematic abandonment by the Government".
Furthermore, the non-fulfillment of deadlines for the arrival of High-Speed Rail to Almería and the unblocking of the connection with Granada, and thus with the rest of Andalucía, has been denounced.
The Popular Party has affirmed that it will demand that the Government of Spain "comply with Almería", arguing that "we cannot get used to them delaying infrastructures that are fundamental for our economy, employment, tourism, and exports every time they are asked".
Finally, it has been warned that "Almería society cannot be isolated due to the Government's lack of commitment", insisting on the need to "act with seriousness and responsibility to guarantee dignified communications that allow the province to advance and compete on equal terms".
