Almería continues to prove why it is Europe's most coveted natural film set and a perfect refuge for Spain's biggest stars. The multifaceted actor, director, and producer Paco León has been the latest to be captivated by its charms, enjoying an intense tourist break after returning from Mexico for the Platino Awards.
The Sevillian artist, a highly influential and beloved figure in Spanish audiovisual – remembered for his iconic role as Luisma in the series Aída, his acclaimed directorial debut Carmina o revienta, and his international success with Arde Madrid – shared the most amusing and magical moments of his getaway in Almería with his social media followers.
One of the most notable stops on his trip was the legendary Oasys Minihollywood, located in the heart of the Tabernas desert. Here, the actor not only relived the nostalgia of great westerns by strolling through the Far West town but also enjoyed the park's zoological reserve, humorously confessing to his fans via an Instagram story that the meerkat is officially his "spirit animal".
The performer's trip was not limited to film sets. On Saturday night, León took advantage of the area's cultural and leisure offerings by attending the acclaimed Circo Maldito show, a performance combining adrenaline, humor, and mystery, adding a touch of excitement to his stay.
As expected, Almerian gastronomy also played a starring role in his itinerary. The actor was seen enjoying the capital's culinary essence in well-known establishments such as La Salada, located in the emblematic El Zapillo neighborhood, a perfect spot to savor local produce just steps from the Mediterranean, and El Terrao, offering the best views towards San Cristóbal and La Alcazaba. He also visited iconic cafes like El Once de Septiembre, in the heart of the capital where he was staying.
With visits like this, Almería shines brightly once again, demonstrating that its love affair with cinema and storytellers remains as vibrant as ever.
