The Almería Tennis Club has confirmed the presence of former professional tennis player Nicolás Almagro for an exclusive clinic on April 17 and 18, which will include training sessions, an exhibition, and an institutional tribute.

The event, scheduled for next weekend, is set to be one of the most significant dates on the sports calendar for the province of Almería. Almagro, who ranked among the top ten tennis players globally in 2011 and won thirteen ATP titles throughout his extensive career, returns to the city to share his expertise.
The program will kick off on Friday, April 17, at 5:30 PM at the Port of Almería, an innovative setting where the club will collaborate in the inauguration of a new leisure and sports area by installing mini-tennis courts.
The activities on Saturday, April 18, will entirely move to the facilities of the Almería Tennis Club. The day will begin at 9:30 AM with a round table featuring the Almería Sports Journalists Association. This will be followed by a technical block, where registered participants will engage in guided training sessions, skill games, and a serve power measurement.
A highlight of the event will be a master class on the one-handed backhand technique, a stroke that elevated the Murcian player to one of the best specialists in Spanish tennis history. After the theoretical training, an exhibition match will take place at 12:30 PM, followed in the afternoon by a "Tie Break Tens" competition with prizes and sports equipment.
In addition to the technical component, the clinic will serve as a platform for an institutional tribute to Nicolás Almagro, commemorating his gold medal victory at the Almería 2005 Mediterranean Games. Through this initiative, the Almería Tennis Club reaffirms its commitment to promoting high-level tennis and its historical connection to the province's sporting achievements.
Registrations are now open via the club's official website, with differentiated fees for members (25 euros), non-members (40 euros), and a special promotion for entities affiliated with the Andalusian Tennis Federation.
