The project, covering 120 square meters, addresses a local request to provide artificial shade for play areas. This initiative aims to protect the health of children and their guardians from high temperatures, encouraging the use of public spaces throughout the year.
According to municipal sources, more than 70% of the 170 children's play areas in the city currently have some form of sun protection, whether natural or artificial. The local government remains committed to continuing the rollout of these facilities to other parts of the city that still lack them.
To carry out these projects, the City Council emphasizes the need for prior civil works to ensure the safety and durability of the canopies against weather conditions. These installations follow previous interventions carried out in other neighborhoods and urban development areas of the city.
