With only four matchdays remaining in the 2025-2026 season of the Segunda División, promotion to the top tier of Spanish football offers a substantial financial reward. The promotion bonus agreed upon by the captains of the Almería team amounts to four million euros, to be distributed among the squad. This means each footballer would receive over 100,000 euros, a considerable incentive to successfully conclude a season that spans 42 matchdays, plus the promotion Play Off phase.
