Unión Deportiva Almería has implemented additional security measures for the crucial match against Málaga, aiming to prevent both potential sanctions and incidents. Fencing will be installed around the indoor athletics track in the Tribuna and Preferencia sectors, areas without a moat, to deter any attempts to enter the field of play at the end of the game.
This initiative seeks to avoid situations similar to those that occurred in 2007 and 2013, years when the team achieved promotion at home and fans invaded the pitch. The measure will be applied regardless of the final outcome of the match.
In addition to security measures, the club has organized a large mosaic in the Fondo Norte and Preferencia stands. Using white cards, a visual surprise will be created for the teams as they take to the field, just before the match, officiated by referee Muñiz Muñoz, begins. Approximately 18,000 spectators are expected to participate in the reception, which will include singing the official anthem and the usual scarf-waving.
Each attendee will also receive a red flag to place on their seat, completing the festive atmosphere and support for the team on this day considered historic for the club.
